Weird Marsquakes and otherwoldly Martian sounds recorded by NASA lander

NASA's InSight lander on Mars has captured the low rumble of marsquakes and a symphony of other otherworldly sounds.

NASA's InSight lander placed a seismometer on the Martian surface to study marsquakes. While it's found many, it has also detected other kinds of seismic signals, including some produced by the spacecraft itself. That includes wind gusts, InSight's robotic arm moving around and "dinks and donks," friction caused by parts inside the seismometer moving against each other as the temperature changes.

Put on your headphones and you can hear sonifications of this seismic "noise" recorded on March 6, 2019, the 98th Martian day, or sol, of the mission. Around 2 p.m. local Mars time, the spacecraft's arm was moving and snapping pictures with its cameras, surveying InSight’s “workspace.”

This audio would be too faint for the human ear to heart it on Mars. It's been sped up by 10 times and processed so you can hear the kinds of signals InSight sends back for its scientists to study.

Flocks consisting of thousands of grackles invaded a Houston City shopping centre parking lot in Texas. Footage of the incident features thousands of grackles taking over a Kroger grocery store parking area, while also resting on power lines and cars. “This is just crazy. Watch bizarre-looking Sea Creature from the Deep caught in Texas

An angler in Texas snagged a bizarre-looking sea creature that turned out to be a venomous denizen of the deep. The strange catch was reportedly made by Alyssa Ramirez while she and her mother were fishing on a pier in the coastal city of Port Isabel. Adding an almost alien-like element to the oddity's appearance, it was still alive when Ramirez reeled it in and, as such, was undulating in a mesmerizing fashion on the pier, She decided to record footage of the creature and send it off to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in the hopes that they could identify it. Fortunately, she soon received an answer as they indicated that the animal in question was a 'bearded fireworm.'
