Scientists detect an exotic planet in another solar system where the weather forecast is always dire - a 100 percent chance of the most outrageous rain imaginable, with droplets of scaldingly hot liquid iron. A British space scientist says it is 'almost a racing certain' that Jupiter's moon Europa is home to alien life, but believes they are 'octopus' like creatures. Monica Grady, who is a professor of Planetary and Space Science at Liverpool Hope University, suggests the icy seas beneath Europa's surface is a prime location to find beings with similar intelligence to the marine animal. Although the idea of octopus-like creatures living on Jupiter's moon may sound far-fetched to some, it was the plot in the 2013 film 'Europe Report'. Our own Milky Way galaxy is on a collision course and could be destroyed. The Milky Way will one day be cannibalised by the neighbouring Andromeda galaxy, which has been gobbling up smaller star systems for billions of years. Scientists have mapped the Andromeda, which is twice the size of our own galaxy, the Milky Way, and found remnants of other galaxies floating inside it. NASA's InSight lander placed a seismometer on the Martian surface to study marsquakes. While it's found many, it has also detected other kinds of seismic signals, including some produced by the spacecraft itself. That includes wind gusts, InSight's robotic arm moving around and "dinks and donks," friction caused by parts inside the seismometer moving against each other as the temperature changes. The planet Venus may have had a perfectly habitable environment for 2 to 3 billion years after the planet formed, suggesting life would have had ample time to emerge there, according to a new study. In 1978, NASA's Pioneer Venus spacecraft found evidence that the planet may have once had shallow oceans on its surface. It's believed that Venus may have been a temperate planet hosting liquid water for 2 to 3 billion years before a massive resurfacing event about 700 million years ago triggered a runaway greenhouse effect, which caused the planet's atmosphere to become incredibly dense and hot. Mathematical evidence for a planet, dubbed Planet Nine or Planet X by space scientists, was revealed by Caltech researchers in 2015. China's Chang'e-4 lunar rover has discovered an unusually colored, 'gel-like' substance during its exploration activities on the far side of the moon. The mission's rover, Yutu-2, stumbled on that surprise during lunar day 8.
