‘Apocalyptic-like scenes’ as huge dust storm turns Australian town orange

Powerful winds sweeping through southeastern Australia have coated a town in dust, giving the sky a dark orange hue.

Residents said that dust storms are becoming more regular, making the area uninhabitable.

Residents said they were accustomed to one or two such storms a year, but that they were now experiencing them several times a week.

It Rains Liquid Iron On This Planet

Scientists detect an exotic planet in another solar system where the weather forecast is always dire - a 100 percent chance of the most outrageous rain imaginable, with droplets of scaldingly hot liquid iron. Researchers using the ESPRESSO instrument on the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope in Chile recently detected a super-heated exoplanet located 640 light years from Earth.
